Do you always have leftover party accessories? I do! I’ve been thinking of ways to use up our excess party gear when the idea for this craft occurred to me. It’s a DIY hot air balloon that can be used to decorate your little one’s room. Hot air balloons have always had a whimsical quality to me and I was excited to make this craft with my boys. They were besides themselves with anticipation!
My Big boy is obsessed with Egypt… and dinosaurs (but that’s a story for another day). At the library, he always gravitates towards books on Egypt. He loves paging through (as he can’t read yet) books on Pharaohs, mummies and pyramids. This DIY Egyptian necklace is a fun and simple craft - great for fine motor skills.
This is a great activity that combines the fun of crafting with a basic lesson in biological science. This topic can be taken further by heading outdoors and identifying living and non-living objects. Hope your little ones enjoy this fun learning activity!
Today’s craft is all about recycling and repurposing tin cans! I’ve been keeping aside our tin cans and bottle tops especially for these DIY tin can robot faces and we’re so excited with how these have turned out.
My boys already have a couple of toy trains however they are always so proud of the toys they have crafted themselves. This DIY tin can train has already enjoyed hours of imaginative play. I so enjoy engaging in imaginative or pretend play with my boys, not just to spend quality time with them but to see their imagination grow.
