I thought it would be a great idea to make a Recycled DIY Christmas Advent Calendar for the boys to count down to Christmas… and to spare myself the daily nagging of “How many days is it to Christmas?”  We made the advent calendar from toilet rolls so it’s a genius way to recycle the toilet rolls we’ve been collecting. This DIY Spiderweb Halloween craft provided many learning opportunities around nature, different cultures and history.  The boys also learnt about Halloween symbols and how black is a traditional Halloween colour. A brilliant recycled craft because we got to use up our egg carton collection, this craft also provides a great fine motor skill workout with the painting, gluing, working with pipe cleaners and yarn weaving.
