These little DIY egg carton chicks are adorable and so much fun to make. They can be made unique with whatever craft supplies you have to hand, we used feathers, beads and pom poms. There’s a bit of cutting involved in this craft which older children can tackle. Younger children will enjoy cutting the paper for the chicks’ beaks and wings. Young children love spreading glue and pasting which is a great fine motor activity for writing readiness.
This DIY Dreamcatcher craft encompasses so many different elements of early learning – including creative thought, cultural awareness, discussions around nature and seasons, fine motor skills and construction processes.
Paint chips are a craft supply that I can’t resist stocking up on whenever I visit our local hardware store. My children love puzzles so this DIY Paint Chip Shape Puzzle was a great way to get them involved with making their own. Simple and fun- a great way to talk about repurposing and boosting creative thought.
