Paint chips are a craft supply that I can’t resist stocking up on whenever I visit our local hardware store. My children love puzzles so this DIY Paint Chip Shape Puzzle was a great way to get them involved with making their own. Simple and fun- a great way to talk about repurposing and boosting creative thought.

DIY Ndebele Houses

We recently had family visit us from Africa so my boys have been looking through books and asking lots of questions about the country. An image of the bold and vibrant Ndebele house paintings got the boys interested in making their own DIY Ndebele Houses - using old toilet rolls!

DIY Easter Basket

These DIY Easter baskets are so much fun and very easy to make with paper plates. There is so much scope to be creative with this craft when painting or decorating the Easter baskets. Each child will enjoy making their own unique basket. We decorated ours using tape resist painting technique whereby masking/painters tape is pressed down in a crisscross pattern and painted over with different colours.

DIY Rocket Spaceship

Our DIY Rocket Spaceship is made from a disposable soft drink bottle. We love the concept that we get to reuse, repurpose and recycle everyday objects. It’s so important that our children understand the benefits of recycling on the planet.
